Aleppo Girl Bana Alabed To Donald Trump: “Your #MuslimBan will not stop us from meeting” She Says About Her American Friend


The little girl from Aleppo, Syria, Bana Alabed who became a Twitter celebrity after she documented the destruction around her live on Twitter, has stepped up her protests against Donald Trump and his anti-Muslim policies on Twitter. She has been in correspondence with another girl from America called Gabriela. The two were planning to meet when the US President Donald Trump’s #MuslimBan spoiled their plans. Donald Trump has passed an executive order banning nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US, Syria being one of them, alongside Iraq, Sudan, Iran, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. However, Donald Trump’s ban has not broken their spirits. They are now planning to meet in Mexico, another place that “Donald Trump hates”.

She has taken to Twitter, which became her best tool in some of her toughest times. Bana Alabed tweeted the following with a screenshot of her text conversation with Gabriela:

Bana also tweeted a picture of part of an emotional hand written letter from Gabriela that said “happy that you could meet me in Mexico. Donald Trump has banned Muslims in my country, but I will not let him destroy my dreams of meeting you. You are my best friend and I can’t wait to see you and welcome you as my sister. I love you, Gabriela and Bana forever.”
