“Marriage is on the cards” says Anushka Sharma
This year has been very thrilling and successful for Anushka Sharma. The success of Sultan and Ae dil Hai Mushkil after bombed film like Bombay Velvet brought the actress into top competition and lime light. This year she once broke up with her beau Virat Kohli and the most famous tweet by Virat Kohli brought them back together too. So success, failure, romance, heartbreak have kept the 28 year old actress in news throughout the year. She has appeared with Virat Kohli on too many occasions and undoubtedly they are the cutest power couple continuing the age old tradition of attracting glamour and cricket together.
Virat Kohli’s tweet has become the most retweeted tweet on twitter India this year says it all how much the fans have been interested in their relationship.
The actress was asked at an event in New Delhi about possible wedding plans and she replied “Marriage is on the cards, but I don’t know when it will happen. I haven’t thought about it yet. I have done everything in my life very normally. And marriage is definitely there on my agenda in life. But I don’t know when will it happen,” Anushka said, reports news agency PTI.
At the same event Anushka also spoke about how the film industry is making more films with married actresses. “I feel things are changing now. Actresses are working at same pace even after getting married or having kids. This is an amazing time for women in industry. I also would like to continue things like a normal person (after marriage). It is important to be that way. I didn’t like when people said that actresses have a shelf life,” she said, reports PTI.
Regarding the rising divorces she said “I am a very basic person. I still believe marriage happens only once and you have to sustain it. But I guess divorce rate is increasing in the country because the woman is changing. Their thinking is changing, the equation they used to have with men is not same anymore. Women are financially independent and they are not looking for a life partner so that they can have a secure life. They want someone who is compatible to them. I feel one has to constantly work to sustain the marriage. No relationship works without putting in efforts,” she said.
The 28-year-old actress confessed that her Bombay Velvet and Ae dil hai mushkil co-star Ranbir Kapoor has been a very close friend, “I friendzone guys very quickly. I always draw a line. In the industry Ranbir Kapoor is a very good friend. We have recently worked a lot together and share a good bonding.”
About the difference in spotlight for actors and actresses, Anushka said”I think actresses have always been very good performers. Actresses should be hyped more. Actors are over hyped,”
Having worked with both Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor in different films, her all time favourite is Ranbir Kapoor.
“My all time favourite is Ranbir Kapoor. He has done a lot of different roles. Ranveer, on the other hand, hasn’t done a lot of films yet but I think Ranbir has got a lot of opportunities and a lot of films to do and portrayed different roles. Actors are not bad or good, it is about what kind of films you are doing and roles that you are portraying is what matters. Ranbir has definitely got more opportunities with films like ‘Barfi!’, ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Rocket Singh’. So, it won’t be fair to judge the actors right now. When Ranveer Singh comes down from the hyperactive persona of himself and does films like ‘Bajirao Mastani’… it stands out,” she added.
