Well, the wait for Shahrukh Khan‘s fans in Delhi is over. The actor has reached Nizamuddin station in Delhi at 10.45 am with his new film Raees. That is 10 minutes ahead of schedule. Shahrukh has documented the 18-hour train journey from Mumbai Central to New Delhi’s Nizamuddin station promoting Raees on his twitter account and it was complete hysteria. All the places were full of his fans and the police and security guards had a real tough time containing them. They came from everywhere in the middle of the night, out in the cold to give warm greetings to their superstar. The response was mutual. Maddening crowd at every stop, overwhelming situation, made Raees a special film with a unique promotional strategy. Shahrukh connected with masses with the same level of warmth. The wait was worthwhile for them. There is no post from Vadodara, where one person died after reportedly suffering a heart attack when police allegedly lathi-charged the crowd. From most other stops, SRK shared his interaction with fans, thanking them for waiting for him. First stop – Vapi in Maharashtra, where SRK distributed gifts to a crush of fans three tiers thick.

After reaching in Delhi, the 51-year-old  superstar told news agency ANI that it was ‘extremely unfortunate’ that one person died in the crush at Vadodara station.

“Extremely unfortunate that someone died. Our team was there all along, tragic that such an incident took place.”

ANI has posted images of SRK arriving in Delhi on the August Kranti Express.

ANI also posted a video.

On the train, accompanying Shahrukh, were Rahul Dholakia and Ritesh Sidhwani, the director and producer of Raees, are travelling with SRK.

The Raees magic started when Shahrukh Khan released the trailer. The trailer went crazy viral. Then came the song “Laila Main Laila”, which not just went viral, but it topped international YouTube charts. Then came the dialogs that fans all over the country loved. Then the romantic songs of SRK and Mahira Khan were released and the whole country seemed to fall in love with them.

Come 25th, Raees will lock horns with Hrithik Roshan‘s Kaabil. The two movies have been on collision course for some time and moves and counter moves have been made for an advantage at the box office and fans of both stars have been holding their breath to see the battle as the release date nears.

The wait is almost over though. One can almost feel the curtains rise and the act about to begin. Raees vs Kaabil and Shahrukh vs Hrithik – only time will tell who wins the race.

Stay tuned for more from the world of entertainment, only on Bollywood Red.
