The promotion of superstar Shahrukh Khan’s Raees is in full swing as the film nears release. Since the debutant Mahira Khan is not a part of promotion, Shahrukh is alone taking Raees everywhere. As part of promotions, with baniye ka dimaag aur Miyan bhai ki daring, the Raees team has come up with an unique idea. Shahrukh and team Raees will be boarding the  August Kranti Rajdhani Express on January 23 from Mumbai to Delhi. The train leaves at 5 pm from Mumbai and reaches Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station at 10.55 am the next morning.

Now that is not the only thing. The exciting thing for his fans is the train will make stops at Andheri, Borivali, Wapi, Valsad, Surat, Baroda, Ratlam, Kota, Savai Modhopur and Mathura on its way to Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi and they can catch the glimpse of the superstar. Now isn’t that exciting! Team Raees promotional strategy is to connect with the masses, just like Shah Rukh’s character Raees Alam does in the film.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed the news saying, “Railway travel resonates with all of us… it’s been a while that we have been on the train. We are very excited to start the journey on Monday.”

Talking about his early career choices, Shahrukh recently said in an interview, “The reasons I agreed to do roles which the other guys were saying no to (for whatever their mindset was), a Darr or a Baazigar, was because I thought I’m not good-looking enough to be a hero, so let me just get a villain’s job. I didn’t do it because I was gutsy or because I knew I could pull it off, I’m such a great actor.”

Then of course came the item song that drove social media crazy – “Laila Main Laila” was expected to be well-appreciated on the social media, but the song broke all expectations leading the international youtube charts. The fans’ fascination with Raees did not end there. The dialogues of the film, delivered by SRK in his mesmerizing style of Raees Alam have been going viral (See the famous dialogues here). And there is no dearth of the dialogues. “Baniye ka diaag aur miya bhai ki daring” got special love.  Raees is full of one-liners that reveal traits of the character in a fascinating way.

The romantic song shot between Shahrukh and Mahira Khan, Dil Ki Patang, also went on to be one of the internet’s favorites.

Raees is releasing soon, on the 25th of January in a direct conflict with Hrithik Roshan‘s Kaabil costarring Yami Gautam. The two movies have a history and has caused exchange of words. Fans are eagerly waiting to see which one walks away as a box office winner.
