When Jackie Chan Met Salman Khan And Said All He Wants To Do Is A Bollywood Film

Jackie Chan is going all Bollywood on the promotion of his film “Kung Fu Yoga“, an Indo-China venture. The legendary and one of the biggest action star with a career spanning over 56 years, Chan is in India who said in a recent press conference “I started watching Bollywood movies when I was 16. I used to watch the dancing and go away because I didn’t understand the language,” The Oscar winner actor is very much interested in doing a Bollywood film dancing around the trees. “But the last 15 years, I have been watching Bollywood movies because of the dance. It is probably the best in the world. Tell a Bollywood director hire me,” Chan said. “No more action films, I want to dance. I want to do Bollywood, that’s one of my dreams.”

His favorite actors are Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Salman recently had thanked Chan for casting Sonu Sood in his film.

To which Sonu Sood had posted Jackie Chan‘s reply message to Salman Khan.

And Chan met Salman Khan. Salman posted a picture on social media too.

Jackie Chan had a grand welcome at airport on his arrival in India. Later he joined Kapil Sharma’s show and attended a press conference where he entertained press in his funny style. He did his amazing bit of Bollywood dance too.

In the evening, actor Sonu Sood threw a bash for the Kung Fu master and Oscar winner actor Chan. Salman Khan joined the bash among other celebrities.

The film is based on Jack (Jackie Chan), a renowned professor of archaeology at the Terracotta Warriors Museum in Xi’an, teams up with young Indian professor Ashmita and assistant Kyra to locate India’s lost Magadha treasure in Tibet.

Directed by Stanley Tong, Kung Fu Yoga is slated to release in the end of January, 2017 in India and China. The film is extensively shot in Jaipur and Iceland. Kung Fu Yoga is part of the three-film agreement signed between India and China during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to India.

This is not Jackie Chan’s first brush with Bollywood. For his 2005 film “The Myth”, he had cast Mallika Sherawat. The film went on to be a big success.
